4. Properties
The general properties of the various styrenic polymers are listed in table 3 (see the section on Standardized testing of plastics in this treatise).
Figure 3 shows the tensile stress-strain curves for a standard PS, an impact PS and an SB copolymer. Standard PS behaves like a very rigid but brittle polymer; the other two have a yield point. Tensile stress measurements are carried out in accordance with NF T 51-034 or ISO R 527 standards (see [Doc. AM 3 340]).
