6. Regulations
Like all chemical products, PVC stabilizers are subject to regulations designed to limit the risks associated with their use.
Their impact is assessed in three main ways
acute toxicity: measurement of immediate effects in the event of contact (burning, itching, etc.);
long-term toxicity: measurement of effects related to repeated exposure, with particular attention paid to 3 main impacts: cancerogenicity, mutagenicity and reprotoxicity (CMR);
environmental toxicity.
