2. Expenses

There are four categories of expenses:

  • reinforcing fillers, mainly carbon black and silica;

  • fillers with special properties;

  • plant-based fillers ;

  • non-reinforcing loads.

2.1 Reinforcing loads

Reinforcing fillers are incorporated into rubber to increase moduli and improve fracture properties (figure 8 ). In addition, under certain conditions, the addition of such fillers increases damping and modifies the material's fatigue resistance.
