5. Demolding
During demolding, the part is released from the mold so that it can be ejected.
Injected parts are held in the mold not only by their thermal contraction, which causes them to be clamped onto the core(s) during cooling, but also by their undercuts (surfaces of the part that resist demolding) or lateral orifices, which immobilize them. Mechanical solutions enable parts with such holes or undercuts to be demolded.
