When problems arise during production, the first step is to identify the cause. Some problems originate in the extrusion unit (extruder and die), while others stem from the calibration process. If defects appear at the die outlet, the extrusion unit is the source of the problem.
Generally, defects caused by the extrusion unit are identified at the die exit. These include:
