5. Manufacture of irrigation tubing
The supply of cylindrical, flat or strip drippers requires special installations. Two sets of features distinguish this type of line from standard tube installations:

First of all, it is necessary to introduce drippers into the pipe, either at regular intervals for cylindrical or flat drippers, or continuously for strip drippers. This requires the use of a square extrusion head (with the direction of extrusion perpendicular to the extruder axis). These heads are as short as possible (130 to 150 mm long, according to Maillefer) to prevent the drippers from melting as they pass through the center of the head.
