The partial filling process is much more complicated than gas-assisted injection molding. The main difficulty lies with the injector: with nitrogen, the gas is injected through a cross-section of less than 0.2 mm

. This is made possible by the very low viscosity of the gas. With water-assisted injection, the problem is completely different and far more complicated.
