When the total elongation of the sheet is less than the initial bearing length of the annealed sheet A _p (cf. , the deformation measured corresponds in fact to an average of values from the network of alternating deformed and undeformed strips created by the skin-pass and modified by the second tensile deformation. Aging will only affect the deformed strips and harden them.
