1. General
A creep test is broken down into two stages (figure 1): loading and creep.
In practice, it's not always easy to carry out a constant stress test. Indeed, if the deformation is significant, the test is carried out at constant force: the stress increases during the test with the elongation of the specimen (figure 1). The creep test is defined by standard NF A 03-355.
