18. Rubber
This applies to rubber materials and articles which, in their finished state, are intended to come into contact with food products.
Rubber is a natural or synthetic polymer with a high degree of elastic elongation made up of carbonaceous macromolecules, generally obtained by vulcanization.
Thermoplastic elastomers, which do not require vulcanization, are treated in the same way as rubbers.
