In the previous paragraph, we saw that there was an equilibrium between the hydrogen content of the bath and the partial pressure of hydrogen in the atmosphere. The latter being of the order of 5 × 10 ^–2 Pa, application of Ransley and Neufeld's equation (3) leads to values for hydrogen solubility at 750°C of the order of 9 × 10 ^{– 4} Ncm ³ /100 g.
