Metallic foams. Industrial applications

Thanks to their honeycomb structure, metal foams - whether regular or stochastic, open or closed - are of great interest to designers, who appreciate their wide range of creative possibilities.

It is a composite with multiple possibilities linked to its structure, whose final appearance depends on :

• type of material, color, finish (rough, brushed, polished, anodized, etc.);

• cell structure, size, shape, regularity, orientation in relation to visible external surfaces ;

• the density of the foam and the corresponding impression of lightness it can confer;
