As selenium and tellurium production is almost entirely based on copper electrorefining sludge, only this source is considered. As the Se and Te contents of copper ores vary widely, mine production of these metals can only be estimated. As Table A [Doc. M 2 370] shows, the industrialized countries have a virtual monopoly.
