The Finex process

Based on these remarkable results, POSCO and Siemens VAI are obviously planning to further develop this process and, in particular :

• to use it in its project for a plant with an initial capacity of 4 Mt/year (final capacity of 12 Mt/year) in the state of Orissa, near Paradip in India;

• to gradually replace its blast furnaces at its Pohang plant in Korea;

• consider it for various projects, notably in China.

In this context, the "vision of the future" shown in figure 6 seems likely.
