EBSD is a widely used experimental technique for understanding various microstructural mechanisms, as described in the preceding paragraphs.
But it's also a technique that's now widely used to support simulation (input data, validation of calculations).
We briefly present several examples of simulations using EBSD data.
Optimizing the properties of metallic materials requires a better understanding of the relationships between their microstructure, deformation or damage mechanisms, and their behavior laws.
