8. Special processes
In this section, we have classified a number of special molding processes that use original techniques to improve the performance of molded parts, or to manufacture specific parts or products:
molding with coolers ;

centrifugal casting ;
molding of bimetallic parts;

soft-cavity molding.
8.1 Molding with coolers
Coolers are small metal masses whose role is to create local cooling rates for the cast alloy that are higher than those of the molding sands or those of the normal cooling of the part in its mold, in order to :
