Failure analysis of composite parts

The few examples given above confirm the added value of part damage analysis. Just as metallurgists routinely do with metal parts, we can make failing composite parts speak for themselves, thus adding value to the failure.

The technical and scientific data obtained from the field and laboratory investigations often enable us to reconstruct the history of the part and understand the causes of the damage. Armed with this data, it is then possible to revise the initial specifications, design and/or manufacture of the part to prevent further failures. This in turn improves the final quality of the product.
