3. Defects associated with multilayer flow
There are two types of defects: those that lead to non-uniformity in layer thickness and those that result in discontinuities due to interface instabilities.
When observing bilayer flow in a channel of constant cross-section, the interface between the two polymers A and B changes between the inlet and outlet cross-sections.
