9.1 Cutting & Punching
Once the dimensions have been stabilized, the finishing operations are carried out. The different types of cutting and machining are shown in figure 52. These operations are carried out by specialized machines, generally specific to the product. These may take the form of :
simple workstation, grouping together a limited number of operations (maximum 5);
also known as a machining center;
robotized line.
