1. Average molecular weights and distribution

The molar massMof a macromolecule is equal to the product of the mass M₀ of the elementary unit and the degree of polymerization DP :

M = M₀ DP

When the polymer sample is polymolecular, it is characterized by its number-average degree of polymerization
