INTRODUCTION
The aim of this article is to give a brief overview of the general principles of photo-initiated polymerization and the different types of photopolymerizable systems currently in use. It also examines the kinetic aspects of these ultra-fast processes, which transform the reactive molecule into a material with the properties required for the intended application.
For further details on the photochemical process, the performance of the various systems and the characteristics of the photopolymers obtained, please refer to the monographs and review articles
