Capillary flow porometry
A technique for characterizing porosity that involves draining
a wetting liquid through the pores of a material.
Fibrous filtering media (filter); Filtering fibrous media
A porous material intended for filtration applications and composed
of fibrous elements.
Fibrous unit
An element selected as a unit for describing a fibrous filter
medium. It may be a fiber, a filament, or a yarn.
Fine particles (PM2.5)
Solid particles suspended in the air, with a diameter of less
than 2.5 µm.
Knitted fabric
A textile structure formed by interlacing loops of yarn.
Mean free path
The average distance traveled by a moving particle before interacting
