2. Electron beam
Electron beam surface treatment is one of the most advanced technologies for improving the surface properties of metallic materials.
This technique can be used for almost the entire range of surface treatments, i.e. both solid-phase treatments (hardening, tempering, quenching, reactive treatments) and liquid-phase treatments (remelting, densification of porous materials, surface coatings and alloys, glazing, reactive treatments).
The positive results of basic research and industrial applications have contributed considerably to the further development of this technique, already confirmed by the very large number of related works.
