A nuclear microprobe usually consists of a particle gas pedal, one or more beam lines, a focusing and scanning system, an analysis chamber and a signal acquisition and processing management computer. An analysis magnet, placed at the gas pedal outlet, distributes the beam over the lines. Its major role is to limit particle energy dispersion around the nominal energy. The diagram at
