What impact has the introduction of REACH had on the organization of French industrial players, administrations and public bodies?

As they are often the ones who manufacture "high-volume" products, the largest industrial companies were involved in REACH from the outset. They had their own analytical specialists, toxicologists and ecotoxicologists capable of carrying out all the studies required for the registration of these products. Alone or grouped together in consortia, they were therefore the first to take part in this regulation.

Then, gradually, the movement gained momentum through a number of factors. Smaller companies, manufacturing products in intermediate volumes, were confronted with REACH without having the necessary in-house scientific resources, particularly analytical and toxicological.
