5. Electrodynamic phasemeter
Because of its low bandwidth (less than 100 Hz) and high power consumption (up to a few volt-amperes), this device is used as a panel and platform indicator in single-phase or balanced three-phase networks. It can operate in aggressive industrial environments that electronic devices cannot withstand.
5.1 Single-phase electrodynamic phase meter
This is a wattmeter in which a second frame is added, integral with the first, placed perpendicular to the first (figure 26) and supplied via an inductance L which delays the current IL by π / 2 with respect to the current IR flowing through the other frame.
