4.1.1 A reminder of the definition of antenna gain
The gain of an antenna in a given direction is the ratio of the power radiated, per steradian, by this antenna in the direction in question to the power that would be radiated, per steradian, by a lossless isotropic antenna to which the same power would be applied.
Generally, when we talk about the gain of an antenna, we refer to the gain in the direction of maximum radiation....
