2. Complete two-level factorial designs
For these designs, the number of levels for each factor is restricted to two. All combinations of levels are made during the course of the experiment. These designs can be used indiscriminately for continuous and discrete variables.
2.1 Two-factor plan
For two factors, the study area is a square. For example, figure 6 represents a complete factorial design with two factors. The mathematical model postulated is a first-degree model with respect to each factor. The model is :
