The objective of an intercomparison can be focused on the evaluation of laboratories (proficiency testing), which is organized by referring to ISO/IEC Guide 43-1 (§ 6.2 ), or on the performance of a method by referring to NF ISO 5725 standards (§ 6.1 ).
