2. From detection principle to sensor and transmitter
The physical principles of pressure sensing were described in the article
[R 2 040]
. What remains is to present their respective implementation in sensor design. Whether they are simple sensors associated with measurement and compensation circuits, or measurement assemblies with integrated signal processing, the examples of sensors or transmitters we present have in common that they all have an analog electrical output, the level and type of which are the only differences. Using a few significant examples, we show the advantages and disadvantages of the different instrument versions, as well as the orders of magnitude of their metrological characteristics.
