3. Design features of electromagnetic flowmeters
The judicious choice of materials in contact with the fluid is of the utmost importance. Under actual operating conditions, these materials must not be altered by the fluid, and their physical properties must not deteriorate over time in such a way as to compromise the operation of the device.
In certain industries, such as water, food processing, pharmaceuticals or fine chemicals, it is imperative that the materials used in the DEM do not pollute the product that will circulate in it (finding black traces of ebonite in your yoghurt would not be very pleasant...). Health regulations or laws often impose constraints and require approval of the materials used.
