2. Modeling fluid loading
Knowledge of the loading imposed by the fluid flow is one of the key elements in IFS modeling. Various approaches can be used to represent it.
Analytical and empirical models can be used to characterize loading under given conditions, for example :

when the effect of the fluid is reducible to a scalar (or multi-scalar) value, it is possible to account for the IFS in a model calculating the vibratory response of a structure coupled with it.
