1.1 International standardization
International standardization is managed by ISO (International Organization for Standardization). Its work covers all areas of standardization, with the exception of electrical and electronic technology, which is the responsibility of the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission).
International standardization of motors, vacuum technology and hydraulic and thermal machines is handled by ISO, with the exception of hydraulic turbines, which are managed by IEC.
