3. Electroforming technology (nickel bath)
An electrolytic deposit is formed by the juxtaposition of metal atoms. This rearrangement gives rise to internal forces. These forces are measurable and expressed in units of pressure. This pressure is called residual stress or internal stress. This pressure can be exerted in the direction of the mandrel, compressing it (compression), or outwards, tending to pull the mandrel (traction) (figure
