4. Conclusion
This article begins by presenting the model of wear by extrusion of peripheral burrs based on elasticity theory. This mechanism is induced by ratchet deformations produced by microcontact loading cycles and is active when the pressure at the microcontacts slightly exceeds the elastic accommodation pressure.
