INTRODUCTION
When it comes to the technological aspects of fans and compressors, we're struck by the extreme diversity of their design. And while their aerodynamic design means that all these machines belong to the same family, the way they are built leads to very different morphologies, depending on the application. We can easily imagine having to treat differently a device that conveys a flow of a few tens of cubic meters per hour and one that conveys a flow of a few hundreds of thousands of cubic meters per hour; similarly, one that raises the pressure by a few tens of pascals and one that raises it by a few tens of bars.
The presentation that follows is not intended to be exhaustive, but simply to show, through various applications, which aerodynamic arrangements can be used, and how it is possible to build around them the mechanics and environment that will enable them to fulfil their function.
