4. Security
Vacuum, like any industrial or laboratory installation, has its own safety issues, which are becoming increasingly important these days. In addition to the usual safety issues, vacuum also has its own problems linked, on the one hand, to the mechanics and, on the other, to the physicochemistry of the operations it entails.
4.1 Mechanical safety
During the design phase, the enclosure must be calculated in accordance with the CODAP calculation code: French code for the construction of unfired pressure vessels [Part C. Calculation rules for cylindrical, spherical and conical enclosures and dished ends subjected to external pressure].
