Tanks, vats and piping containing corrosive or food-grade chemicals or hydrocarbons are made from corrosion-resistant, glass-fiber-reinforced polyester, vinyl ester or epoxy resins.
Pipe joints and fittings can be bonded with two-component, cold-curing epoxy adhesives that are fully resistant to chemicals, water and heat up to around 80 ˚C for ordinary grades, and up to 130 ˚C for special grades.
Tank assemblies can also be made by stratification (cf. § 3.5 of article
).
