Extrusion machining of abrasive paste

Abrasive paste extrusion machining is a flexible method of finishing surfaces with precision and uniformity. The process is used for deburring, sizing and polishing parts, and can be employed for a wide range of parts and passages – from 1.5 mm diameter pinions and orifices as small as 0.15 mm, to 50 mm die passages and up to 1.2 m diameter turbine disks.

The process was invented and developed for the delicate deburring of valve bodies for aircraft hydraulic and fuel injection systems. The method provides burr-free edges that pass microscopic inspection (magnification 20). Other applications include :
