Crimping poses a number of problems commonly observed on crimped steel or aluminum alloy sheets.

• Although not detrimental to the aesthetics of the vehicle, winding is a geometrical problem, as it modifies the final dimensions of the crimped part, making them imprecise. It is therefore essential to have a reliable numerical simulation to predict this value and control the clearance between a door and its cabin side.
