3. Geometric tolerances for tools and parts
There is a strong link between the geometric precision of tools and that of manufactured parts. It's easy to see the impact that a high level of requirement for part tolerances could have: greater complexity of the tool, even the risk of the part not being feasible, higher tool costs with the risk of more difficult set-up, and reduced control over the quality of the parts produced.
Faced with these consequences, it is important that each partner takes its share of responsibility:
The designer of the part (principal): he must ensure that his request is relevant to his needs (no over-quality) and translate it into the call for tenders.
