3. Application cases
The capabilities of elementary beam and elementary plate modeling are demonstrated in numerous mechanics publications. This section presents examples of structures that are representative of industrial reality and are more complex in terms of their shape or loading, and for which the various models are based on the theories described above. For each application, the modeling strategy is highlighted, i.e., the different models used during the development of the structure and the way in which composite structures are broken down into several beam, shell, or volume elements.
