The designer has many options for creating such connections. In an attempt to classify the various solutions, we consider separately the quality of the shaft guidance in its bore and the method of adjustment of the element that acts as an obstacle between the hub and the shaft.

• In general, there are three types of adjustment for shaft guidance:

  • TIGHT FIT ;

  • free fit ;

  • fair or normal sliding adjustment.
