Pneumatic components are essential constituents of the energy chain. They perform the generic functions of the operating part: powering, distributing, regulating, converting and transmitting.
The
[Doc BM 6 110]
file defines the various concepts involved in automated industrial systems. This file is dedicated to the components of the pneumatic operating part.
The pneumatic distribution network, via filter, regulator and lubricator, feeds the pneumatic circuit of the industrial automation system. The distributor distributes this compressed air on command from the information chain. Circuit accessories (flow reducer, non-return valve, etc.) are used to adjust the actuator. The actuator converts pneumatic power into mechanical power. Couplings and mechanisms associated with the actuator transmit force and speed, thus acting on the workpiece.
In this dossier, we detail the different construction technologies, characteristics and selection criteria for these pneumatic components. We then examine the various types of connection and linkage between these components.
