2. Torsional vibration study
The aim of this article is to study torsional vibrations in isolation, i.e. assuming they are decoupled from axial and transverse vibrations. The industrial objects studied are the rotors and their so-called "rotor-rotor" or "rotor-base" connections making up the power transmission of an industrial plant.
Based on appropriate modeling, which is described in detail, analyses are proposed to avoid the potentially dangerous situations that are usually posed by this type of dynamic behavior. In each case, the conditions of occurrence and the probable consequences are described: for example, damage to gears or keys, noise induced in the structure, fatigue failure of a rotor... It will then be possible to identify criteria that will be applicable both at the level of technolo-gical choices for preliminary or detailed design, and to the diagnosis and repair of a power...
