INTRODUCTION
Driven by a motor unit, the shaft lines transmit power to the receiving elements, usually by adapting the speed of rotation. This energy transfer must be carried out with a minimum of line losses, but also with an acceptable level of operating safety and service life. Dynamic phenomena generally play an essential role here, given that any real, deformable system is likely to vibrate under the influence of periodic excitations or, due to inertia phenomena, when passing from one established operating point to another. This role is becoming increasingly important as, in many modern designs, the need to increase the power density of the installation is reflected in a reduction in the masses set in motion, coupled with an increase in rotation speeds.
