The most commonly used non-destructive testing methods can be classified into two main families, depending on the type of anomaly sought in the part.
The surface methods (anomalies on the outer surface) are as follows:
visual inspection ;
bleeding ;
magnetoscopy ;
eddy currents.
Volumetric methods (anomalies within the room) are as follows:
ultrasound ;
ionizing radiation.
