2. High voltage measurement with voltage divider and oscilloscope
The concepts discussed in this section relate directly to the
measurement of high-frequency components. The use of an oscilloscope
is essential for observing the temporal evolution of quantities as
well as voltage values. Since high voltage requires a gearbox and
a transmission line, we'll start with a reminder of the basic concepts
associated with these components.
The measurement circuit can be represented as shown in figure 9. The voltage to be measured
at the foot of the voltage reducer is represented by a voltage source
