Why carry out interlaboratory studies?

Interlaboratory comparisons

Organization, execution and evaluation of tests on test objects or identical or similar tests by at least two different laboratories under predetermined conditions.

Repeatability condition

Measurement condition in a set of conditions that include the same measurement procedure, the same operators, the same measurement system, the same operating conditions and the same location, as well as repeated measurements on the same or similar objects over a short period of time (VIM 2.20).

Reproducibility condition

Measurement condition in a set of conditions that include different locations, operators and measurement systems, as well as repeated measurements on the same or similar objects (VIM 2.24).
