4. Conclusion
This article describes in detail the analysis of noble gases by static mode mass spectrometry, based on the technical characteristics of the latest generation of analyzers (e.g. SFT, Argus VI, Helix MC, NGX 600 and Noblesse). We discussed the principle of gas ionization in a Nier-type source, and the influence of the choice of parameters on the signals and peak shapes collected. The design of the flight tubes, the choice of detectors and their settings, and the acquisition of single- or multi-collection signals were also discussed.
